Success and Hope!

Thursday class was successful! Both for fellow classmates (poured with pewter into larger sand casting vessels) and many of us invested our original rings (attached the rings to a rubber base, placed a steel tube around, poured a plaster mixture into the tube, removed rubber base, and Kelly placed into a bag–to fire on Wednesday). Potential always feels great!
I also have to admit that this experience is just what I needed as a teacher. We ask our students to attend six or more classes each week where they are asked to absorb new concepts and techniques. I’m only taking one class and I experience frustration, success, puzzlement, not-understanding the destination, enjoyment, etc. A range of emotions… And this must be a slight peek into what my students feel everyday…
